Perhaps the most mundane of my stories. No robots or spaceships this time, or outlandish plots! I promise.
It was cathartic to write about everyday people in such a grounded reality. I tend to abuse alternate universes (and deus ex machinas), so I wanted to use ours for a change. But this doesn't mean that you can't get a good, complex story with character development. Quite the contrary, you must focus even harder on that. Whether or not I managed to achieve it, I'll let you be the judge.
