The first thing you should probably do is download the translated version, unless your Czech is fluent. Only then will you be able to enjoy this curiosity, though I can't promise the plot will make much more sense this way.

This HL1 mod by Petr Skovajsa (a.k.a. "P2K") took him about four years' worth of his spare time. What began as a silly parody evolved into a serious attempt at a single-player mission. The storyline (or at least what I could grasp of it) is about a captured secret agent who, after breaking out and evading his pursuers, gets back to his HQ thanks to a handy teleporter, only to be tasked with securing a nuclear power plant that is under threat of a group of activists protesting the facility.

One of the easter eggs will have you walking in a Matrix-theme "glitch" map.

Don't miss the bonus levels! They're accesible through the "training level" option and they include a maze and a nice castle.

After a confusing (and difficult) beginning, I feared that this might be one of those "challenge" mods where you jump from one life-threatening situation to the next with little time to react. Luckily it wasn't the case, and you'll slowly begin to learn the particular logic of this mod and have good fun. Not much, sadly, as it will be over within an hour.

The author put a lot of effort into the outer architecture.

Its strong point by far is the level design. Some exteriors look fairly impressive by the standards of the GoldSrc engine, they are expansive and sometimes offer different routes. It was hard choosing only a handful of screenshots to show.

The real-life Temelín Nuclear Power Station has been taken over by a group of violent activists.

Gameplay is lacking, as the author couldn't find the right balance between "empty rooms" and "too many enemies". The puzzles are not hard and you'll get things done by pulling levers and pressing buttons, as always. The only complexity will be, of course, to locate which ones and where they are, as your goals can seem vague sometimes. Kudos to those who managed to finish the mod in the original Czech without having a clue what was going on.

Your mission will conclude with a peaceful tram ride back home.

My final impression was positive, so I thought I could do some justice to this overlooked piece of Slavic software. Give it a try!
